Lecture by Mufti Ismail Menk - Who is good Muslim
Who is a good Muslim? powerful lecture (Mufti Ismail Menk)
Ismail Musa Menk was born in Harare, Zimbabwe. He was tutored by his father who is a well known scholar and Da'ee. Mufti Ismail Menk of Zimbabwe commenced hifz at the tender age of nine years and completed at the age of twelve. He studied Arabic, Urdu and the Hanafi Mazhab from a young age with his father Maulana Musa Menk who graduated in Mazahirul Uloom Shahjahanpur under Hazrat Shaikh Maulana Zakaria (Rahmatullahi Alaihi) in the late 1950's.
Having studied the Hanafi Mazhab he then went on to study at the Islamic University of Madinah where he completed a degree in Shariah on the four Mazhabs. Thereafter he joined the Iftah (Mufti) department of Darul Uloom Kantaria in Gujarat, India where he graduated under Mufti Ismail Barkodrah at the end of 1999.
Ever since he has been actively engaged in teaching, lecturing country wide, running of Islamic educational institutes for the under privileged as well as the orphans, construction of Masajid and Madaris, relief work and coordinated dawaah country wide.
Currently he is the Imaam of the largest Musjid in Harare.

Asyura ada disebutkan didalam Al-Quran. Hari pada 10 Muharram dimana umat Islam disunatkan berpuasa Asyura. Hukum asal puasa Asyura adalah wajib, namun ianya menjadi sunat setelah puasa wajib pada bulan Ramadhan diturunkan oleh Allah swt. Rasulullah saw ada bersabda puasa hari Asyura adalah antara puasa yang paling afdhal selepas puasa bulan Ramadhan.
Berikut adalah antara intipat dan isi penting didalam video bertajuk Asyura didalam Al-Quran ini yang disampaikan oleh Sheikh Imran Hosein.

Ismail Musa Menk was born in Harare, Zimbabwe. He was tutored by his father who is a well known scholar and Da’ee.
He completed his hifz and recitation courses at an early age and learnt the Arabic and Urdu languages whilst studying Shariah under his father. At the same time he attended an Academic College in Harare where he completed his secondary secular education. He then attained a degree in Shariah from the University of Madinah and later specialised in Iftaa at Darul Uloom Kantharia in Gujarat.
